A Community Health Initiative Bringing Together the Rotary Club of Zahle-Bekaa, Miss Bekaa, and Asdaa Magazine
With a shared commitment to children’s eye health and education, the Rotary Club of Zahle-Bekaa, Miss Bekaa 2026, and Asdaa Zahle and Bekaa magazine launched “Healthy Eyes, Big Dreams,” a campaign dedicated to detecting vision problems early and providing prescription glasses to students who need them.
The campaign began today at Saints-Cœurs – Saint Joseph Al-Sakhra School in Maalaka, where students received vision screenings in collaboration with Optique Chaanine. Prescription glasses were provided to all students whose screenings identified a need, helping them concentrate, learn, and pursue their studies under better conditions.
The initiative brought together the school’s Mother Superior, Sister Raymonde Geagea; Rotary Club of Zahle-Bekaa President Dr. Badih Hajj Chahine and fellow club members; journalist Nicole Sadaka, General Director of Asdaa Zahle and Bekaa magazine; Miss Bekaa 2026, Lama Nozha; and Dr. Rita Atallah, President of the school’s Parents’ Association.
This initiative highlights the value of collaboration among schools, service organizations, and media partners in serving the community. It reflects a shared belief that healthcare is a fundamental right for every child, and that early detection and access to prescription glasses can make a meaningful difference in students’ education and future success.
This first stop marks the beginning of a campaign committed to helping children learn with confidence—because healthy eyes do more than help them see the world clearly; they open new horizons for achieving their dreams.
