On Saturday, 10 October, the Rotary Club of Kyrenia Liman and the Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan jointly organised an event at the Civil Defence Organisation’s facilities in Alsancak. The event took place in a warm and joyful atmosphere, filled with friendship, fellowship and solidarity.
The primary aim of our event was to raise support for the Özcan Bundak Aviation and Electronics Center Memorial Fund, established to help create the Özcan Bundak Aviation and Electronics Center at Sedat Simavi Vocational High School. We also aimed to make a donation to Rotary International’s End Polio Now initiative, which works towards eradicating polio worldwide.
The Civil Defence Organisation generously allocated its Alsancak facilities for our use for an entire day, providing us food, beverages with access to the facilities and resources we needed. This valuable contribution played a significant role in supporting our objectives.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Civil Defence Organisation for its invaluable support and for its commitment to community solidarity, cooperation and initiatives that make a positive difference in people's lives.
