NEMRUT ROTARY REMEMBERED WOMEN
Within the scope of the EVKA project, our women living in the villages of the Yaylakonak Town of
Adıyaman Center will contribute to the home economy with cheese produced from the milk obtained
from the goats donated within the scope of the project organized by the Nemrut Rotary Club.
Pointing out that cheeses produced in completely natural environments are in high demand, Nemrut
Rotary Club term President Mehtap Binzet said, “We continue to support our citizens living in
Yaylakonak Town and its affiliated villages, which suffered great losses during devistating
earthquake. We delivered the goats donated by the Turkish-American Association of California,
operating in the US state of California, and the American benefactor Eric Liittschwager. They will
contribute to both the home economy and the economy of the town by producing cheese from the
milk they will obtain from 166 goats we have given to a total of 50 families. We have to support our
women. As the Rotary family, we do our best to improve the post-earthquake conditions and heal
the wounds, especially in rural areas. “We will continue to do so,” he said.

Club, aiming to support the earthquake victims in their difficult processes, help them to recover with
the goat aids given to the families dealing with animal husbandry.”
