On December 6th, 2024 members of RC Rhodos-Kolossos visited with much joy and love the Orphanage of Rhodes, for a special action full of Christmas Magic.
The Club's Committee for the Support of Sensitive Social Groups, with Rotarian Sandra Nezi as Chairperson and members Katia Kanari, Adriana Hadjilazarou, Dora Koutsospyrou, Marirena Georgas and Katia Zachariou, designed and created a Christmas atmosphere for the children. Together with the children, we created wonderful Christmas decorations and constructions with colors and lots of gold dust, filling the space with smiles and imagination! Hot chocolate and delicious cookies completed this festive experience, warming our hearts on a day that reminded us of the importance of giving and love.
The Christmas afternoon ended with gifts purchased individually for each child and personal hygiene items donated for all the children accommodated in the structure.
The cooperation and support of the Rhodes Orphanage with similar actions by RC Rhodos- Kolossos has started many years ago. Every time we hold an event together with the children, we experience the same joy and emotion! We feel that we can really offer some of the magic of Christmas to those who need it most.
Rotary Club of Rhodos -Kolossos and President Mary Ayakatsika congratulate the Club's Support Committee for Vulnerable Social Groups and thanks the President of the Child Care Centre, Mrs. Maria Korakaki, Social Operator Mrs. Margarita Sarika as well as the staff of the Rhodes Orphanage for supporting us to organize this event.
