The RC of Nicosia Lefkothea would like to thank and express its gratitude to the leading Pharmaceutical Company in Cyprus, Medochemie Ltd, through the positive response of its Chairman & CEO Dr. Andreas Pittas, to help the people of Lebanon by donating 2.7 tons of medicines of a six-figure value, which RC Nicosia Lefkothea has undertaken to send to Lebanon.
In this effort, Andreas Charalambous was contacted who is the Chairman of Air Trans and Fellow Rotarian of the RC of Nicosia, as well as two Lebanese Rotary Clubs, RC de Beyrouth and RC Beirut Center.
Air Trans provided the transportation and handling of the medicines in Cyprus and at Larnaca Airport. It has been reported in delight that the medicines have been delivered to the Ministry of Health warehouse ready for distribution to the hospitals.
The corresponding Rotary Clubs of Lebanon will undertake the delivery of medicines to hospitals in the affected areas.
