This year, the 8th of Izmir Konak Rotary Club Tournament was held on 1 December 2024 at Havagazı Factory in İzmir. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality gracefully accepted to be the location sponsor. This tournament is significant as it is organized with the Chess Federation and it affects the ratings of the athletes. This year 140 licensed athletes competed in the tournament in four different categories. Alper Tezcan became at the top in Category A. Barış Ayzer Örnek, Zümrüt Egehan and Zeynep Sümeyye Demirtaş received gold medal in consequitevely in categories B, C, and D. The awards were presented by Mert Korur, the governor of District 2440, Pınar Aksoy, the president of İzmir Konak Rotary Club, and other club members.
