More than 70 participants aged 14 to 18 submitted posters, short videos, and memes dedicated to the prevention of addiction – from drugs and gambling to digital dependency.
Each work was both a creative expression and a heartfelt call for awareness.

These young people see the risks — they reflect on them, analyze them, and transform them into visual messages that reach deep into the heart.
Addiction appears as a shadow that stifles the human spirit. Freedom, by contrast, emerges in their art as light, hope, and possibility.

Their creations revealed a remarkable level of creativity, empathy, and civic responsibility.
Together, they sent a strong message: youth in Bulgaria have a voice — and they are ready to be part of the solution.
The contest became a bridge between generations — between fear and hope — empowering young people to take action and inspire change.

The entries were evaluated by a respected jury of artists, designers, psychologists, and Rotarians committed to youth well-being and a healthier society.

The official award ceremony took place during the Annual District Conference of Rotary in Plovdiv – an event blending tradition, celebration, and a shared vision for the future.

The “Choose Freedom!” competition is just the beginning.
Next Rotary year, it will grow into an international initiative, connecting youth voices across borders.
Because a healthy future begins with conscious choices — and because Rotary believes young people can and must be part of the change.

Choose freedom. Choose the future. Choose to create.
