The Rotary Club of Salmaniya was proud to participate in the Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk-A-Thon organized by the Bahrain Cancer Society at Water Garden City in Seef District. The event took place on Friday, 24 October 2025, with participants gathering from 4:30 PM and beginning the walk at 5:30 PM. The walk brought together a vibrant mix of survivors, families, supporters, and community leaders united under one message of hope, early detection, and support for those affected by breast cancer.
We were deeply honored to collaborate closely with the Bahrain Cancer Society in this meaningful initiative. This partnership allowed us to amplify outreach and reinforce the importance of early screening, which continues to save countless lives. It is inspiring to know that more than 2.8 million women around the world are surviving breast cancer, a number that has tripled in the past 60 years. Events like this remind us of the power of awareness and community engagement in advancing health and wellness.
Our participation helped bring Rotarians together in service and fellowship. Members walked side by side, proudly representing Rotary’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. It was a moment of unity and compassion that showcased the spirit of Rotary in action.
We extend our appreciation to the dedicated volunteers, healthcare professionals, and organizers who made this event a success. The Rotary Club of Salmaniya looks forward to continuing this partnership and supporting future initiatives that promote public health and strengthen our community. Together we walk with purpose. Together we support survivors. Together we stand for a healthier future for Bahrain.
