A Milestone of Hope and Service:

The Rotary Club of Bethlehem is proud to announce the successful handover of advanced neonatal incubators to Caritas Baby Hospital, marking the completion of the “Sustainable Neonatal Care at Caritas Baby Hospital” and “Incubating Hope in Bethlehem” projects.

The handover ceremony was held on 16.07.2026 under the patronage of H.E. Hanna Hanania, Mayor of Bethlehem, and in the presence of H.E. Vladimir Kharoufeh, Mayor of Beit Jala; H.E. Laith Qumsieh, Mayor of Beit Sahour; and Eng. Nader Mauge, President of the Rotary Club of Bethlehem 2026–2027, together with distinguished guests, healthcare professionals, Rotarians, and members of the local community.

This landmark initiative reflects more than a decade of collaboration between the Rotary Club of Bethlehem and Caritas Baby Hospital, united by a shared commitment to improving neonatal healthcare for Palestinian children.

Through this project, two neonatal incubators were officially handed over to the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), significantly strengthening the hospital’s capacity to provide life-saving care for premature and critically ill newborns and infants.

The project was led by the Rotary Club of Bethlehem (District 2452) and made possible through a Rotary Foundation Global Grant, with generous international support. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Rotary Club of Bari, which contributed USD 50,374, and the Rotary Club of Castelvetrano, which donated USD 38,800, along with several Rotary Clubs across Districts 2110 and 2120 in Italy. Their remarkable generosity reflects the true spirit of Rotary’s global fellowship and its commitment to saving lives.

The ceremony was further honored by the virtual participation of District Governor Mrs. May Monla, who addressed the audience in a heartfelt video message from Lebanon, highlighting the importance of international cooperation and Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self.

The Rotary Club of Bethlehem extends its deepest gratitude to all our international Rotary partners, donors, Caritas Baby Hospital, The Rotary Foundation, and everyone who helped make this humanitarian project a reality.

Together, we are not only delivering advanced medical equipment - we are delivering hope, saving lives, and investing in the future of Palestine’s children.

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible.
