We welcome the new Zone 21 web page, a site which contributes to shape public image in our Zone highlighting the actions of Rotary members, the activities we engage in, the impact we make on local communities, and more.
To promote Rotary, we must enhance our branding. In fact, we should all use the same language and communicate the same messaging, in few simple words. We must strengthen awareness about the meaning of being a Rotarian and the grandeur of our Organization.
Public relations is communicating to the public what Rotary really is and what it does. Clubs should share information about their service projects through club websites, social media, blogs, and forums and, of course, traditional media. Communicating Clubs activities creates a positive image of Rotary, attracts prospective new members and project volunteers, and re- inspires current members.
When a Rotary club has a positive public image, brand or reputation, current members are motivated to participate in service projects, prospective members are eager to join, and sponsors are willing to support service. Often too little is known about Rotary in our communities and opportunities are missed.
We must encourage clubs and members to enhance and promote their distinct experiences. Rotary International offers the platform for promoting our public image. Rotary’s brand center, R.I. Staff, Public image toolkits are valuable resources.
Zone 21 Public Image team is here to support our clubs in service near and far and our District’s service on behalf of our clubs. They are here to help tell our story.
Public Image is a top priority of Rotary, and we share that vision.
