Excluding the Red Cross and Red Crescent , Rotary International stands out as the world's largest and most widespread NGO. Rotary's global influence is further reinforced by the annual International Assembly held in Orlando, where the Rotary family comes together . At this important gathering, over 500 District Governors, dedicated to service to the community, filled with compassion and impartiality, meet to work towards shared goals. The coming together of such a large community highlights the importance of common purposes and shared values.

From January 11-16, 2026, we, as District 2420, proudly participated in the Assembly in Orlando alongside the Governors of Districts 2430 and 2440, representing our district . The excitement of this large event, attended by approximately 1000 people, deeply affected us. Despite the special emotions we had experienced previously on the occasion of the opening of the Peace Center in our country, this gathering had a different and powerful atmosphere. All participants were united by the enthusiasm that comes from moving towards the same goal and being in solidarity.

Two general sessions were held daily, offering participants the opportunity to listen to valuable speakers and benefit from their experiences. Carefully designed learning programs, case studies, and the sharing of diverse perspectives and problems from other district governors fostered both personal and community development. One of the most significant achievements was the formation of new friendships. Special events such as Polio Night and Culture Night created unforgettable and meaningful moments.

The spouses of the participants also had a busy schedule during the event. While there's a misconception that they only participated in sightseeing , they, like the Rotarians , followed a full-day program filled with learning and case studies. This once again demonstrates the breadth and strength of the Rotary family. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all the spouses for their contributions.

the 1.2 million Rotarians around the world who unite for good and aim to create a lasting impact , embracing communities with the same feeling and mindset, is a great source of pride. Opportunities are being created for new members, we are meeting with donors on shared goals, and we are receiving the necessary training for more peaceful societies, educated individuals, a clean environment, and healthy people. In this regard, preparations are underway to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of Rotary services on July 1, 2026, through the sharing of thoughts and ideas.

I wish success to the new governors and all Rotarian friends. As always, creating a lasting impact is in our hands. For this, it is enough for every Rotarian to work wholeheartedly and with all their might, to be willing, participatory, and inclusive. May we all have a bright future.
