The Rotary Club Tripoli Cosmopolis organised a Dental project which is part of a global grant called "Smile For Lebanon" (2024-present) in partnership with "Rotary Geneva International" and Rotary clubs/districts in Switzerland, and in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry of Saint Joseph University in Lebanon.
The project aims to provide essential and comprehensive dental care for underprivileged children in Lebanon for various communities such as public schools, orphanages, organizations supporting Deaf children, and inclusive educational institutions. It includes routine dental checkups, fluoride treatments, and interactive awareness sessions focused on oral hygiene, alongside advanced dental treatments for children facing severe dental issues. These initiatives are implemented in collaboration with dentists and residents from the Faculty of Dentistry at Saint Joseph University in Lebanon.

This November, we kickstarted our project for the third consecutive year with “Dar Al Yatima” orphanage in Tripoli - Lebanon. During our last year's visit and checkup, our volunteering dentists from USJ, along with our member Dr. Rania Azar, documented the cases of 16 orphans with severe dental issues. These orphans were transported to the faculty of Dentistry at USJ where they received advanced dental treatment. The sessions were held in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, characterized by professionalism and kindness. At the end of each session, thoughtful gifts and toothbrushes were presented to the orphans, promoting the importance of maintaining healthy dental habits.
Together, we’re spreading smiles and building a healthier future for Lebanon’s deprived children.
