As the Adana Guney Rotary Club, we conducted our second-hand product sale project called "Magic Wardrobe" from October 16 to 19, 2024, aiming to provide scholarships for students affected by earthquakes. The people of Adana showed immense interest in the Magic Wardrobe, which we prepared forwith great diligence over the months. I owe a debt of gratitude to all friends who supported the project with their labor and hearts. Believing that eachgarment represents hope and every hope a future, we started providing scholarships to 20 earthquake-affected students with the income generated from this project.
Approximately a month later, on November 23, we held our Christmas Fair with the goal of lighting up the futures of our girls through the Magic of Rotary. For 30 years, the Adana Guney Rotary Club has been a signatory to many strong projects both nationally and internationally. The traditional Christmas fair, held asa revenue-generating activity for these powerful projects, is not just a shopping event but also a very meaningful activity that contributes to the education of disadvantaged girls in our country, inspired by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's saying, "A society that leaves its women behind is doomed to stay behind." It fosters collaboration with members, families, many stakeholders, and other non-governmental organizations. During the unforgettable fair, participants, club members, andfriends who came shopping competed with each other to provide scholarships for our girls. In the new year, 10 more girls moved closer to their dreams with a Rotary education scholarship.
