A meeting built on friendship, shared experiences and a common commitment to Rotary values has marked the beginning of a sister-club partnership between Rotary Club Burgas, Bulgaria, and Kauno Rotary klubas, Lithuania.
Last weekend, Rotary Club Burgas had the pleasure of welcoming fellow Rotarians from Kaunas. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen international friendships, discover Bulgaria's cultural heritage and lay the foundations for future cooperation between the two clubs.
The Lithuanian guests experienced the unique atmosphere of Nessebar, a historic town renowned for its rich cultural heritage and distinctive charm. The programme continued with a visit and wine tasting at Messembria Winery, where hosts and guests enjoyed the region's hospitality and shared memorable moments.
The highlight of the visit was the first step towards establishing a sister-club relationship between the two Rotary clubs. This marks an important beginning for a long-term partnership based on mutual trust, friendship and a shared ambition to develop initiatives that benefit communities.
For Rotary, international relationships are much more than opportunities for meetings and cultural exchange. They build bridges between people, communities and countries, creating opportunities for joint service projects and meaningful cooperation. They demonstrate that when people are united by common values and a commitment to serving others, geographical borders become less significant.
Rotary Club Burgas expressed its sincere gratitude to its friends from Kaunas for their visit, warm friendship and enthusiasm for future collaboration.
Both clubs look forward to meeting again and turning this promising relationship into shared action.
Friendship without borders. United in service. Together, we can achieve more.
