On 23–24 October 2026, in Samsun, Türkiye, we are about to find out.
The Public Image & Rotaract Summit – Roots & Wings brings together the Rotary family from across Zone 21B for a programme that is ambitious, diverse and, above all, deeply human.
Friday: Find Your Voice. Challenge Your Thinking.
Friday morning begins not with speeches, but with participation.
Three parallel workshops explore questions that matter to Rotary's future:
Rotary Voice and Public Speaking — How can we make people genuinely want to listen?
Inclusive Club Experience — What makes someone feel they truly belong?
Project Storytelling and People of Action — How can we turn our projects into stories that touch hearts?
In the afternoon, Hakan Şahin, trainer and consultant at İzgören Akademi and a former Interactor and Rotaractor, will explore trust, reputation and social impact beyond Rotary.
Then comes Public Image as Public Trust — a conversation that moves beyond logos and campaigns to ask: What makes people trust Rotary?
Because public image is not only about how the world sees us. It is also about how our members experience Rotary.
Saturday: Generations, Leadership and Real Stories
One Rotary, Many Generations explores the relationships connecting Rotary's past, present and future.
Create Lasting Impact as Behaviour asks what lasting impact looks like in the way we lead, cooperate and serve.
And on World Polio Day, we will celebrate a cause that has united generations of Rotarians.
The afternoon brings fresh perspectives: our hosts from Rotary Club of Samsun Karadeniz, the ROFIFE Rotary Short Film Festival, and a Peace Essay Competition from District 2420.
Then come two particularly human moments.
Our Journeys to Rotary Leadership reveals the experiences behind Rotary leadership.
Frank Talk – Questions from the Audience creates space for questions that deserve genuine answers.
Finally, Success Stories from across Zone 21B put real people and real achievements in the spotlight.
Different countries. Different communities. Different approaches. Stories worth sharing — and ideas worth taking home.
The Most Important Moments May Happen Between Sessions
Some conversations begin over coffee. Some friendships begin at lunch. And sometimes two people from different countries discover that they have far more in common than they imagined.
That is the spirit of Roots & Wings.
Roots represent the values, relationships and experience that sustain Rotary.
Wings represent our curiosity, openness and courage to imagine what comes next.
We do not need everyone to think alike. We need opportunities to listen, connect and build trust.
What begins as a conversation in Samsun may become a meaningful initiative tomorrow.
