On October 28, 2024, at our "Reviving Forgotten Local Cuisines" workshop held at Kristalin Home Cooking, we learned about the history and cooking methods of two traditional dishes: Walnut Karakuş Dessert and Tahini Stuffed Cabbage Rolls, through hands-on practice. Our guest, Prof. Dr. Şirin Saraçoğlu, who has prepared her thesis on Adana's local cuisine and is currently conducting an inventory study on the origins and recipes of Adana dishes, joined us during the workshop and made significant contributions by sharing her research.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness of and preserve Adana’s cusinary heritage, and ensure the transmission of these recipes to future generations, emphasizing the importance of the region’s cuisine as an integral part of Adana’s cultural heritage. The event attracted great interest and participation.
