RC Rhodos-Kolossos stands next to the children of the isolated one-room schools of the Dodecanese, putting solidarity and support in education into practice.
On the initiative of the Awards and Education Committee, a special action was organized, including the donation of educational material and technological equipment to the schools that need it most. On December 6th, RC Rhodos-Kolossos purchased and sent 3 Tablets, 3 self-study books for English learning (Winnie's World - Educational English Learning System for children 4 years old and above) and three basketballs to the 2 primary schools 1.Telendos and Arki and2. Karditsa!
The material was selected following research and consultation with the teachers of the schools, which was carried out by the Awards and Education Committee, consisting of two excellent Rotarians, Kostas Tsolakidis - Professor Emeritus of the Aegean University and Katia Zachariou - a dentist surgeon. We congratulate both for having completed the work of their committee.
At Rotary, our goal is to empower children, teachers and the quality of education in the most remote corners of our country.
