Iraklion Rotary Club continued this year its long-standing health contribution to primary health care in the Municipality of Viannos, on November 3rd. The voluntary medical action included the free examination of patients by a team of doctors, members and friends of the Rotary Club of Iraklion. The patients examined were approximately one hundred and twenty. The participating doctors' medical specializations were: Endocrinologist, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Pulmonologist, Otolaryngologist, Neurologist, Cardiologist, Urologist and General Surgeon.

The President of the Club Lapidakis Georgios and the BOD thanked the Mayor of Viannos Mr. Baritakis , the Governor of the 7th Regional Health Authority of Crete Mr. Papavasiliou and the Deputy Mayor of Health of the Municipality of Viannos Mr. Papadima (Rotarian). Without their contribution it would have been impossible to carry out this action, the message of which is that prevention saves lives and improves the quality of life of people. Congratulations to all rotarians volunteers and friends of Rotary. Preventive health checks for residents in remote areas is very important
