Rotary Club of Adana Koza celebrated “World Polio Day” on October 24. Starting on October 20,on club’s social media platforms they started presenting a variety of social media graphics, gifs, animations, videos and posts to promote Rotary’s fight to end polio both in English and in Turkish for the whole week.

Apart from the social media use, club members organized an “End Polio Now” awareness-raising event at one of the biggest shopping malls in the city on 24 October. And invited the public to join them for the fight against polio. They prepared a promotion stand for Rotary Club of Adana Koza where a variety of materials were displayed and distributed to raise awareness about the importance of the vaccination to protect every child from Polio and Rotary’s fight to eradicate this disease; such as an End Polio Now Backdrop; an End Polio frame for the visitors for taking pictures; End Polio popcorn boxes for children to take home and brochures.

In the promotional brochure, not only polio facts and Rotary’s ongoing fight against this disease was shared but also promoted Rotary’s 7 areas of focus and vision statement.

Additionally,a fund raising event was organised with the motto; “Earth’s Dance with Fire for a Healthy Future”. Standing on the fertile Anatolian lands with 8000-years-history of ceramics,a fund was raised via ceramic objects designed and produced by Rotary Club of Adana Koza family members who shaped clay with their hands through fellowship to bring hope for Ending Polio.
