Rotary Club of Dubai and Rotaract Club of Dubai: Pioneering Sustainability Through "End the Litter Trail" Initiative On November 16, the Rotaract Club of Dubai and the Rotary Club of Dubai brought Rotary’s “Service Above Self” spirit to life through the "End the Litter Trail" initiative. The extraordinary environmental journey united over 350 passionate individuals. to address environmental challenges and promote sustainability.
Through activities such as diving, hiking, off-roading, and beach and desert cleanups, participants tackled the critical issue of environmental sustainability. Their combined efforts resulted in removing approximately one ton of waste, making a tangible impact on the UAE’s natural landscapes and showcasing the power of teamwork and shared purpose.
This initiative went beyond clean-ups—it was a movement to educate and inspire. Volunteers engaged with the public on the beach, raising awareness about the dangers of cigarette butts and micro-litter, pollutants that severely harm marine life and ecosystems. This dual approach of action and education exemplifies Rotary’s vision of creating lasting change in communities worldwide.
