The youth exchange program titled "Mystery of Mersin," organized under the leadership of the Toros Rotary Club, provided an unforgettable experience by bringing together young people from around the world in Mersin from July 9th to July 21st. A total of 31 students participated in the program, with 13 students coming from different countries, fostering intercultural communication.
During the program, various activities were organized, allowing the students to explore the history and beauties of Mersin. Visits to historical sites enabled the youngsters to witness Mersin's rich cultural heritage. Moreover, an unforgettable boat trip allowed the students to admire the natural beauty of Mersin.
One of the most significant stages of the program was the 4-day stay in Boğsak, which provided an opportunity for the students to spend more time together and strengthen their bonds of friendship. Through numerous activities and shared experiences, a long-term connection was established between the foreign and Turkish students.
Onur Kıratlı, the President of Toros Rotary Club for the 2023-2024 term, stated that the youth exchange program brings together different cultures and enhances mutual understanding, making it an important step in promoting Mersin. He also expressed that the students have become like a family, stating, "I believe that these kinds of international events contribute to the development of young people as more open-minded, tolerant, and respectful individuals."
