District 2420, supported the Turkish farmers by purchasing 2 silage and 3 potato harvesting machines for the 'Supporting the Farmer, Breath to the Land' project of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality. The silage corn planted on approximately 9,000 hectares in the region began to be harvested with machines purchased with the support of the Rotary Foundation. Hatay Metropolitan Municipality donates those machines to the villagers of the region, free of charge and harvesting can be done in a village almost everyday. RI District 2420 Governor Mehmet Altay, District 2420 Foundation Committee Chairman Past Governor Hasan Akbayrak, District 2430 Foundation Committee Chairman Past Governor Canan Ersöz, District 2420 Committees Secretary Melek Yıldız and Earthquake Support Projects committee member Cem Hakan Yurtsever delivered two new agricultural machinery to the Mayor of Hatay, Lütfü Savaş, on the field where the harvesting works were carried out. District 2420 Governor Mehmet Altay talked to the people of the region about the problems of the Earthquake Zone and exchanged ideas, and told the people of the region who affected by the earthquake that Rotary would continue to support them with new projects.
