On Thursday, September 10, representative members of the Rotary Club de Beyrouth—led by Past President Mimi Hamam, Head of Actions—met with the Cedars Phoenix NGO at the Sin El Fil municipality offices to support a transformative digital literacy training session for visually impaired individuals.
Currently in its first phase, this impactful project is generously funded by NGO ALAM. Under the guidance of Mr. Milios Awad, 30 participants across three cohort groups attend hands-on computer training twice weekly.
As we highlight Rotary’s commitment to Basic Education and Literacy this month, this project demonstrates the powerful role technology plays in bridging educational gaps and expanding accessibility in our community.
