RID 2475 - RC RHODES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SEMINAR
The Seminar - Open Workshop on the Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technologies in the professional field, organized by the Rotary Club of Rhodes, was concluded with outstanding success. The event took place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the welcoming premises of Rodion Paideia (Kallipatira Hall). The seminar’s keynote speaker, Mr. Yiannis Angelakis, founder of Engage Media, captivated the audience with his in-depth knowledge and engaging presentation.
The President of the Rotary Club of Rhodes, Mr. Nikos Retsas, warmly thanked all attendees for their enthusiastic participation, which highlighted the keen interest in Artificial Intelligence. As he aptly noted, “AI is not just the future – it is the present.” He also expressed his gratitude to the sponsors who supported the event: Rodion Paideia, Ciel Inc., Island City Hotel, and Melissokomiki Dodecanese.
During the seminar, participants had the opportunity to delve into practical AI applications, from automating daily tasks to creating impressive projects with just a few steps. Mr. Angelakis’s four-hour presentation, kept the audience engaged, sparking lively discussions and numerous questions.
The seminar was not only an exceptional learning experience but also carried a strong philanthropic purpose. All proceeds from the event will be donated for the purchase of equipment for the Cardiology Department of the Rhodes General Hospital.
