To My Wonderful Rotary Family in Zone 21,
As we begin a new Rotary year, I want to take the opportunity to greet you and your families and to wish you all only the very best this year as we strive to CREATE HOPE IN THE WORLD.
Sadly, at this point in time, the world is faced with many challenges in many different parts of the world, including in parts of Zone 21 itself. It is difficult to remain aloof from the current situation in Ukraine which has rendered many families homeless and helpless;
It is impossible to forget the enormous loss of human life recently suffered in neighbouring Turkey during that devastating earthquake.
As we begin this new year of Hope creation, I ask all of you my fellow Rotarians to join hands with me and become a source of strength for all those who feel they have no hope within and beyond our membership.
It is against this background that I want to congratulate you on the launch of a New Zone 21 Web Page.
Let this Web page be a beacon of hope and a vehicle through which all the Districts in Zone 21 can reach out to all Rotarians and non Rotarians alike who need HOPE.
I look forward to meeting many of you at our upcoming Zone Institute, in Bucharest, in October this year.
