Prior to 1994, extensive experience in Eastern Europe with Ethicon Ltd, a J&J Inc Co.: 13 years responsible for E.E business; then 2 years at newly formed J&J Hungary as Medical Franchise Director. Joined Kraft, Hungary, as Sales Director, in 1992, to help turn an acquisition into a Kraft company: responsible for creating & developing a Sales Department (total 62 staff).
Total of 17 years in sales & marketing in E. Europe: last 7 years in senior management. Now over 30 years in senior management recruitment plus over 10 years in career outplacement / transition management coaching & mentoring, as well as leadership & management development & training.

Irena ia an active Rotarian (Rotary Club Prague International) with also Rotary District and Regional responsibilities.
Her husband, Stuart Amesbury, & Irena run a small NGO: Disaster Aid Europe z.s (www.disasteraideurope.com) established in July 2018, helping and supporting local Rotarians and NGO's where the local community is rebuilding after a disaster: eg Albania, Beirut, Ukraine, Zambia, Thailand.
She is also a long standing Board of Trustees Member of Junior Achievement Czechia and a mentor to students in the JA successful student company competition in the Czech Republic.
Irena is also a mentor in Equilbrium (British Chamber of Commerce & Ceska sporitelna) - mentoring women managers.
